Al Wakrah, founded in 1959, are one of the oldest clubs in Qatar. They are located in the city of Al Wakrah in the south of Qatar.
The club’s logo is a mixture of light blue and white colours, and is the main reason they have been given the nickname of The Blue Waves.
The Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium is their home ground.

Ali Rahma Al Marri
Date of Birth:27/12/1983
Ali Rahma Al Marri took over the technical task of Al Wakrah from Spanish coach Miguel Angel in the 2024-2025 season.
He previously assumed the same position at the end of 2023-2024 season and guided Al Wakrah to Qatar Cup 2024 triumph, defeating Al Rayyan 1-0 in the final.
He worked as an assistant coach in the technical staff of Al Wakrah with the team’s former coaches and his compatriots Marquez Lopez, Jose Murcia and Miguel Angel.
During his professional career, Al Marri played with five clubs in 15 seasons – Al Rayyan, Al Khor, Al Arabi, Al Sailiya and Al Wakrah.
