Al Khor welcomed the visitor Umm Salal to the Al Khor stadium for one of the final games of the season, and what a game it turned out to be.

With 7 goals in total it was the highest goal scoring affair of round 26.

Al Khor who has been tougher to beat in the second half of the season had a perfect start when ahead courtesy of a Julio Cesar penalty in the 35th minute.

The first half ended with al Khor one up and no indication of what was to come in the second half.

After the restart Al Kho’s top scorer, Cesar was at it again when he scored another, giving his side a two goal cushion.

However, Umm Salal playmaker Tuncay got one back for the visitors as they looked to salvage something from a game that looked to be slipping away from them.

Then Marco Antonio Mianda Filho looked to have shut out the game with his goal in the 78th minute but there was still plenty more to come from Salal.

Salal was now losing 3-1 and not even their couch could have hoped for what happened next.--
New signing Jeremy Aliadière got one back to make it, 3-2 in the 81st minute. This saw the total capitulation of the home-side as they started to panic.

In the 85th minute umm Salal equalised for the first time in the match with Mardanli effort. The Fortress could sense that it was now theirs for the taking.

The winner came courtesy of the hardworking midfielder Tamer Jamal Othman in the 90th minute as Al Khor coach Lazlo Boloni couldn’t believe what was happening before his very eyes!

Umm Salal had the mother of all comebacks and finished the season in 6th spot, one position better than last season.
