Al Ahli’s head coach Yousuf Adam has been awarded the coach of the month award for March. The Qatari tactician is expected to pick up the award at Al Ahli’s training ground on Wednesday evening.

This is the first time that a QSL head coach has picked up the award.The Brigadier’s have put in impressive performances during the month of March picking up wins against Umm Salal and Al Arabi. Crucially these timely wins have helped Al Ahli pull away from the QSL relegation zone. Perhaps more impressive is that the victories came over teams in a higher league position.

In front of goal, Al Ahli scored eight times in just three QSL games; Thanks to statistics from Prozone, QSL’s statistical partner show that Ahli had an average of 7 shots on target per game.  However, the sides overall fitness running can be a measure of their success in March. The side totaled 11,332 meters of high intensity distance this month, more than the QSL target of 10,400 meters.

Ahli are set to play bottom placed Meisameer in round 24 of the QSL.
