Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Al Sailiya are expecting no easy favours in the last few rounds of the season with assistant coach Amine Farikha predicting a tough game against Al Kharaitiyat in round 20.
"We have reached the final stages of the Qatar Stars League with all the games are difficult. We sought to rectify the mistakes we have committed in the last two games," Amine said on Wednesday.
"Our next game versus Al Kharaitiyat in Round 20 of the QSL is quite normal for us, assuring that Al Kharaitiyat is in good condition after their recent win over Mesaimeer,” he added.
Amine admitted that the team’s offense line has been affected following the transfer of Abdel Qader Elias to Umm Salal as well as the injury to key player Sayyaf Al Kurbi.
Commenting on the reason behind the defeat to Al Wakra last week, Amine he said: “We didn’t perform well against Al Wakra, but we were better in Umm Salal game and at least we deserved to draw as we created many goal-scoring opportunities.”
Al Kharaitiyat head coach Ammar Osim said Al Sailiya are a 'well organized side'
"I feel Al Sailiya as a very good and well organized team which is better than us in terms of points," Osim said.
"They have quality players and an experienced head coach whom Al Sailiya just extended his contract which a clear proof of his abilities and success with the team.”
"Indeed Al Sailiyah Club management seeks to establish a good team for the future with him,” Osim said
“The previous period was good for us as we got eight days following our win over Mesaimeer for the preparations for the coming match against Al Sailiya," he said.
Osim said that there is huge pressure due to the victories by Qatar Sports Club recently which may put his team into risk and that are why a win against Al Sailiya was 'crucial'.
"The recent match against Mesaimeer was the toughest because they are at the bottom of the QSL table and they have nothing lose, in addition to the improvement of Qatar Sports Club in terms of points,” Osim said.
