Al Sadd coach Juanma Juan Manuel Lillo ‘Juanma’ spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Gharafa.

“Al Gharafa are a good team and have players with experience, and they have distinguished foreign players at a very good level, and this is what will make the match against them very strong and difficult.

“We played a distinguished match against Al Gharafa in the first leg despite the numerical shortage we faced, and we were a strong match.

“Al Gharafa are presenting good levels and was influential and strong in their last match against Al Wakrah. Therefore, we must be careful and well prepared for the game and play with high concentration.

“The match will be more difficult because we have the same number of points, and it is logical that Al Gharafa will be in the advanced positions in the standings table, due to the high-level players they have.

“We have great confidence and high morale after the victories we achieved, and we seek to continue in the same way and achieve more victories,” said Juanma.

Al Sadd player Ahmed Sayyar said, “A difficult match against Al Gharafa, especially as it comes from their distinguished victory over a strong team, which is Al Wakrah.

“We are going through a positive phase after the break and we achieved many victories. We will have the ability to continue competing for the championship title.”
