Al Arabi had beaten Al Sailiya 5-1 in the first leg of 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League.

Al Arabi are placed second with 34 points (11 wins, one draw and four defeats) and are trailing Al Duhail by only four points.

On the other hand, Al Sailiya are in a precarious position, having been at the bottom of QNB Stars League with nine points and are staring at relegation. The Peregrines have only two victories to their credit while they drew three matches and lost 11 games, the most by any team.

Al Arabi had beaten Al Gharafa 1-0 in the postponed match from Week 10, while Al Sailiya lost 1-3 to Al Markhiya.

Al Arabi coach Younes Ali will want his wards to collect full points in their bid to win the league title. The Dream Team boast of the likes of Syrian Omar Al Somah, who missed the last match due to suspension, Tunisian Yousef Msakni, who scored the winning goal against Al Gharafa off a penalty, Spanish defender Marc Muniesa, Ahmed Fathi, Helal Mohammed and Hamed Ismail.
