Sergo Garcia has stressed that his sides coming clash against second placed Lekhwiya is just like any QSL clash, with the Lions on the brink of lifting the falcon shield since 1994. The Spanish attacker sat down with QSL online for an exclusive chat ahead of the round 20 match of the week against Lekhwiya.

How have preparations gone for Lekhwiya?
Preparations have gone well so far. I think the side is ready for this match; after all we are playing one of the best teams in Qatar.

Can Al Rayyan continue their winning streak against Lekhwiya?
I think that we certainly have the qualities to do so. We have won seven games in a row now, and confidence is high. We will fight hard against Lekhwiya, we can repeat the same result from the first half of the season.

Why have Al Rayyan been so dominant this season?
I think that our team-work has been a major factor in our wins. We focus on the team in everything that we do, we feel united and strong in training and the games. Al Rayyan feels like a big family.

You are so close to winning the league, will this add to your nerves against Lekhwiya?
The way we are working at the moment, I think that this big game is what we need. We are not nervous of our opponents and I think this situation can help Al Rayyan push on for the league.

Who in Lekhwiya team are you focusing on going into the match?
For Al Rayyan, we will always focus on our performance and not of the opponent. We fear no one at Lekhwiya. This coming game will just be like any other that we have played in the QSL this season.

Can Al Rayan lift more than one title this season?
Certainly, I think our league performances show that this side has the strength and depth to compete for more than one trophy this season.
