Morrocan midfielder confident of success with Thunders
Al Kharaitiyat player Abdelmoula Berrabeh believes that the Qatar Stars League is one of the most competitive leagues in the region, and is relishing the chance to compete with his Al Kharaitiyat in this his maiden season in the QSL. The Moroccan midfielder spoke with QSL online to get his new sides progress this season.
Opening up the conversation about the prestige of the league Berrabeh said; “The QSL has brought in a number of world class players over the years such as Xavi, Sidou Keita, and Raul. This is a clear proof that the QSL is the new destination of all the big super stars which will lead to the development of football within the state of Qatar.”
“All the QSL fixtures are tough this year; every team is looking for points. At Al Kharaitiyat are aware of the huge responsibility on our shoulders to keep the side up during this difficult season” claimed the midfielder on the season ahead with his team.
Looking forward to the next match Berrabeh noted: “Our next game is against Al Arabi in round three, which won’t be easy at all. We will be taking on a strong team and a big name in Qatari football. Al Arabi has the biggest fan base in Qatar and they have started the season well.”
Reflecting on the previous matches with Al Kharaitiyat he added: “In the first two rounds we lost our opening league match against Al Sadd we improved as a team to win our second game over Al Wakrah. We now have to build on this game and develop as a team so we can improve over the season.”
Looking forward Berrabeh believes the side will be settled going into the next rounds of the QSL season; “We were lacking a fourth professional player in the previous two games due to the delay in the registration of player Idris Fotouhi, who has now left the team and has been replaced by Erik Partallo, this will help us focus on getting points for the team.”
Al Kharaitiyat will now turn their attentions to their third round clash against Al Arabi on Saturday the 15th of October at Al Khor stadium.
