Al Sailiya will face Al Arabi this Friday December 5^th at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium in Al Wakrah town at 16:00.

Daniel Carreño:
“I am very new here and I have only spent a little bit of time with the team. In that short time I saw a group with a lot of talent and latent potential. They are a group of players who want to reach a good place in the league come the end of the season.”

“My aim in the short term is to get through these 4 games and get maximum points. After this the 2015 Asian Cup will take hold and so there will be a break in the QSL and so I will have the necessary time to implement my philosophy on the squad.”

“When a new coach comes to a team, this gives the players a fresh start but also it is a period of instability as I need to get to know them and they need to get to know me. They will have to show me what they can do and I am sure they will want to impress me in order to stay in the team.”

“I have signed to the club for a season and a half and I hope to improve the position of the team in the league. The previous game was tough for the old coach, his team did well in the first half but the second half was Al Ahli’s.”

“I don’t want to focus on the past, I am here now and I will have to try and meet the fans high expectations. This is a big club and I want us to do well and win things.”

 

Sami Trabelsi:
“The game is more important for us in terms of points but because Arabi has a new coach, his first game will be important for him too. Although they lost in good game last week, they are a very dangerous team who has some great players.”

“It’s a good question, when a new coach arrives it can be positive but it can also be negative. I am not sure what kind of reaction the players will have in this fixture.”

“Yes there is a lack of attacking edge currently in the squad, as I said many times, we got rid of a lot of our best players last season so we need to rebuild. At the moment my bench is weak.”

“If you saw Umm Salal’s game the other week, they brought on three subs in the second half who in most other teams in the league would be first team players. So this is the kind of bench we need at our club, so that we can keep things competitive and have more options in case a player gets injured.”

“I think if we win this game it might help us a lot this season.”
