The Paraguayan defensive midfielder Victor Cáceres arrived in Doha on Monday morning to finalised contract negotiation with Al Rayyan.  Cáceres was playing in Brazil last season for Flamengo where he made 89 appearances and scored 2 goals.
 
Cáceres will undergo a medical Aspetar - Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital before officially signing the deal.
 
The move is seen as a way for Uruguayan Head Coach Jorge Fossati to shore up Rayyan’s defence ahead of the new Qatar Stars League season.
