Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 13 match against Umm Salal.
“We are waiting for a difficult match against a strong team that has players with good technical capabilities, but we are ready for the match and our goal is to win and collect the three points, especially after we worked hard during training over the past few days.
“We look forward to going on the right path, after we presented a good level in the Al Sadd match in the last round, regardless of the loss by a goal, but the players performed well and we look forward to following the same approach.
“I spoke with the players about the Umm Salal team after monitoring their recent matches. They are a physically strong and organized team on the field, and therefore it is necessary to deal with them with great focus in order to reach the desired goal, which is to win and collect the three points,” said Prats.
Al Shamal goalkeeper Abdullah El Rady said, “We respect Umm Salal a lot and we realize that facing them will not be easy in view of their strength and possession of distinguished players in most departments, which requires more effort so that we achieve our goal, which is victory and collecting the three points.
“Winning is our goal in order to maintain our position in the league table and try to take a new step forward. Al Shamal players realize the responsibility on their shoulders and look forward to presenting our best.”
