Al Khor coach Mehdi Nafti spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 9 match against Qatar SC.

“We must be very careful in our match against Qatar SC and be fully focused.

“We must also develop more on the offensive side as we are performing well in the defensive aspect and, most importantly, we could arrest our losing streak in our previous match. Now we have to win and score goals. The upcoming break after this match is very important and we will work very hard in it as if we are at the beginning of the season.

“We need the points of this match and I believe in the capabilities of my team and the players and I put my full confidence in them. We will not look at the standings now, we will do what is necessary to get out of this position, we are preparing the team tactically, physically and psychologically for this match. We have worked on correcting the mistakes in order to avoid them. Qatar SC have a good team, especially in the offensive aspect, but we will work to stop their danger,” said Mehdi Nafti.

Al Khor player Saif Al Mohannadi said, “A very important match awaits us against Qatar SC and I believe it will be one of the most important matches of the season.

“Winning and getting the three points will give us a huge morale boost, especially before the break, and will enable us to work harder with the team and the coach. We will enter this match with high confidence as Qatar SC are our direct competitors.

“We must unite as players and feel responsible towards the club. Team spirit is the most important aspect.”
