Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 9 match against Al Arabi.
“We were not successful in our last match against Al Arabi and unfortunately we lost due to some mistakes, and we have to compensate in our next match against Al Khor.
“As a coach, I bear responsibility for the loss in the previous match and I spoke with the players about the importance of returning to victories quickly so that the team can return to its normal position again, and advance in the league table and stay away from danger zone.
“There will be some changes to compensate for the injuries and also give the opportunity to some ready players who deserve to participate, and this will certainly have a positive impact on the team as a whole.
“The two teams are in a similar situation and each of us needs points in this match, so it will be a difficult match, and we have to be more focused and more willing to win by exploiting the opportunities to achieve the result we want,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Moataz Majed said, “We have turned the page on the last match against Al Arabi, in which we were not successful, and we are now fully focused on facing Al Khor in order to come out of it with a positive result.
“We, as players, are fully aware of the current situation of the team and appreciate the responsibility placed on our shoulders and we will do everything we can to win and improve the team’s position in the league. The next match against Al Khor is worth six points, so we will enter it with one goal, which is to achieve victory and gain points, and we are fully prepared to achieve that.”
