Al Rayyan coach Leonardo Jardim spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 12 match against Al Markhiya.

“I would like to extend my congratulations to the Qatari people on the occasion of the National Day of the State, and as for the Al Markhiya match, we played twice against them and this is the third time we will face the Al Markhiya team. We know that this team created many problems during the past two matches, especially in attacks.

“The team is well prepared for this match and will play in order to win the three points,” said Jardim.

Al Rayyan player Ahmed Al Rawi said, “We are ready for the match in order to obtain three points. When we played against Al Markhiya in the last two matches, we faced difficulties in their counterattacks, so we will work to stop those attacks.

“My presence with the first team during this stage makes me give off the best because it is an incentive for me to be with these great players, so I will give off my best in order to continue my presence with the first team.”
