Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 12 match against Qatar SC.

“I am satisfied with what the team presented in the first leg, which was positive with very good results the team achieved and what it presented. We showed good level in most matches, except for the last two matches.

“I am sure that we will do that in the next match and the team will have a reaction against Qatar SC, as they have good players upfront and it will be a difficult match. It is good for us to have more solutions now on the bench.

“Qatar SC have a new coach and a new style of play. Before they played with a “5 defenders” style, now they play with four in defence and they have a strong attack with the presence of Tabata, Bashar Resan and Malango. They are very strong on the offensive line and we know that and it will be a difficult match, and we have to control our rhythm, especially since they have developed their playing style a lot and it will be a different match from the first leg,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Farid Boulaya said, “We started training well and played a friendly match to maintain match fitness, and we are ready to play a good match.

“It will be a difficult match, especially since Qatar SC’s position in the table is not good, and they will strive to improve their position. I think Qatar SC are very good, but we are also a good team and we have to win all matches.
