Al Sadd coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League postponed match from Week 6 against Al Arabi.
“An important match awaits us against Al Arabi, and our goal is to win and get three points to strengthen the top spot in the standings. It will be a difficult match and we seek to enter the match fully prepared.
“The pressure of matches made things difficult for us in some matches, especially against strong teams, but our players were up to the responsibility and presented more than wonderful levels.
“Al Sadd fans are our first supporters and everyone saw that against Al Rayyan and Al Duhail. Our fans do not need an invitation in the next match against Al Arabi, which is considered as a strong and important test for the team,” said Wesam.
Al Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah said, “We achieved two victories over Al Rayyan and Al Duhail, and a stronger match awaits us against Al Arabi.
“Our goal is to play the match with full force in order to win and get three points.
“We in the team are accustomed to this pressure. We are playing a successive number of strong matches and we will give off our best with great focus in order to exploit any opportunity to achieve victory.
“Al Sadd fans always stand behind the team and we live up to the responsibility and our goal is to make our fans happy by achieving victory.”
