Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 3 match against Al Sadd.

“Al Ahli vs Al Gharafa matches are always strong and full of outstanding performances due to the two teams’ attacking style of play.
“We respect Al Gharafa as a team and they have achieved positive results from the very start of the league which makes this clash a strong one. But we are looking forward to achieving a positive result and will produce our best.

“We will play with all our strength in order to achieve victory in the match. A high spirit prevails in the team and among the players and we have a fierce desire to achieve the valuable three points with a top performance especially after the two losses we have suffered against Al Duhail and Al Sadd,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli player Jassem Mohammed said, “We are looking forward to scoring a win over Al Gharafa. This game would be a decisive between our previous results and the stage ahead in the league.

“We will make every effort to produce our best. Al Gharafa are a strong opposition, but we trust in our abilities and hope to come up with a good performance and get the three points.”
