Al Ahli coach Pedro Miguel spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 16 match against Muaither.

“The Muaither match is of great importance to the team in order to return to the path of victories. At the same time, we are dealing with the current stage with the necessity of focusing on achieving victory and obtaining the three points.

“We play as one group and as a coach I look confidently at every member of the team who plays in the matches, regardless of the absences that the team suffers from, due to the absence of professionals in the previous round.

“I worked to address the mistakes in the Umm Salal match and I will work to ensure that the team is fully physically and technically ready in order to enter the field with the aim of winning,” said Pedro Miguel.

Al Ahli player Al Dokali Al Sayed said, “We have no choice as players but to perform with full force to return to the path of victories. We players are not satisfied with the team’s decline in performance. We will work to improve the team’s image by returning to the path of victories.

“As players, we work with technical staff on the necessity of overcoming the mistakes that appeared in the last match and showing the best performance against Muaither. As players, we must be at the desired level on the field to score points.”
