Reigning champions Al Sadd face Qatar SC in a postponed match from Week 8 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:45 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

The result and points of the match will be of high importance to both teams as Al Sadd seek to compensate for their loss to Al Ahli and Qatar SC to put behind their drawn outcome against Al Sailiya in the last round (Week 15).

Al Sadd are placed fourth with 22 points, the same as Al Gharafa but ahead on goal difference. The Wolves, coached by Juan Manuel Lillo ‘Juanma’, have recorded seven wins, one draw and five defeats.

Qatar SC are ranked third with 23 points from seven wins, two draws and four defeats.

The loss to Al Ahli was Al Sadd’s fifth this season and first after the long break in the league championship.

Al Sadd cannot afford to drop points further if they are to cherish hopes of winning the league shield for the third season in a row.

Al Sadd may miss Rodrigo Tabata due to injury he suffered against Al Ahli. So may be Mohammed Waad, who got injured against Al Gharafa in Week 14.

Moroccan Youssef Safri-coached Qatar SC have an attack line led by the duo of Bashar Resan and Sebastian Soria.
