Al Shamal face Qatar SC in Week 16 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Duhail Stadium on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The kick-off is at 16:55.

Al Shamal, under the tutelage of Wesam Rizik, are 10th in the table with 11 points from 13 matches, behind Al Rayyan on goal difference. They have recorded three wins, two draws and eight defeats.

Al Shamal played out a goalless draw with Al Wakrah in their postponed match from Week 8 last Saturday. They had lost 2-3 to Al Gharafa in Week 15.

Al Shamal will be eager to make up for the dropped points and move up the ladder as only two points separate them from bottom-placed Umm Salal.

Wesam has at his disposal the likes of Ali Olwan, Amjad Atwan, Yacine Bammou, Rabeh Yahya, Mustafa Tariq and Matias Nani.

On the other hand, Qatar SC are placed fourth with 23 points from 14 games (seven wins, two draws and five defeats).

The Kings lost 0-2 to reigning champions Al Sadd in their postponed match from Week 8 last Saturday.

Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri relies more on players, such as Sebastian Soria, Javi Martinez, Ibrahim Majed and Bashar Resan, while they will miss suspended Omar Al Emadi and Moroccan defender Badr Benoun.

Qatar SC had beaten Al Shamal 1-0 in the first leg of 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League.
