Al Ahli and Al Wakrah were tied 2-2 in Round 5, Group A of the 2022-2023 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Egla 4 Stadium on Friday.

For Al Ahli, Aldoukali Alsayed (27th minute) and Sofiane Hanni (87th minute) scored the goals, while Omar Ali (65th minute) and Mohammed Khaled Hassan (73rd minute) scored for Al Wakrah.

Al Ahli seized early initiative and were rewarded with a goal around half hour through Aldoukali.

Al Wakrah showed more enthusiasm after the second half started and Omar Ali helped them draw level after the hour mark.

Before long, Al Wakrah found their second goal through Mohammed Khaled Hassan.

Al Ahli were not to give up and found the equalizer through Hanni deep into the game.

Al Ahli and Al Wakrah ended their campaign with seven points and four points in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Umm Salal and Al Sadd qualified from Group A for the semifinals as the first and second-placed team respectively.

Qatar SC and Al Sailiya were the other teams in the group.
