Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 17 match against Umm Salal.
“We seek to achieve victory in order to compensate for our previous loss against Al Gharafa and I do not hide that this loss was a disappointment, especially since everyone was working to continue the positive results, but we were not successful during it, and we must turn that page and focus on the next match.
“We prepared appropriately for the match against Umm Salal and we aspire to achieve victory and collect the three points, although it will be a difficult match, but we are ready for it and will give everything we have.
“Unfortunately, we faced a series of influential absences, but we look at the positive side, which is represented by the participation of substitute players who succeeded in appearing in a distinctive way and provided a real addition to the team, and this is a very good thing. Regarding the next match, we are still waiting for the green light regarding the participation of player Ahmed Abdel Kader, who missed action due to injury,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Nasir Peer said, “We are now focusing greatly on our next match after turning the page on the loss in the last match, during which we were looking forward to winning the three points and continuing the victories, but we were not successful in it and we have to compensate in the next match.
“We know that it will be a difficult match in view of the closeness of both teams, but we are focusing on ourselves and seeking to exploit our capabilities until we achieve victory and collect the three points.”
