Al Arabi and Al Sadd will face off in a strong clash in Week 14 of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The kick-off is at 6.45pm.

It is a summit clash between two strong contenders and is expected to witness fierce competition and excitement with both teams gunning for victory in a bid to gain the three valuable points.

Al Arabi are in 10th place in the standings with 13 points, from three wins, four draws and six losses, while Al Sadd are third with 25 points, with a goal difference from Al Ahli, who are fourth. Al Sadd have so far registered eight wins, one draw and four losses.

Al Arabi lost 3-4 to Al Wakrah in the previous round, while Al Sadd went down 0-1 to Qatar SC.

The result of their first-leg match saw Al Sadd win by a 5-0 margin.

Both teams include a number of distinguished players, and will look to change gears and step up their performances all the more.

Al Arabi have the services of goalkeeper Jassim Al Hail, Youssef Al Msakni, Helal Mohammed, Rodri Sanchez and Ahmed Fathi among other players, while Al Sadd would be counting on their strength given the presence of Brazilian Giovanni Henrique, Akram Afif, Guilherme Torres, Hassan Al Haydous, Boualem Khoukhi and goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham, among others.

Al Arabi will miss their Italian player Marco Verratti who was sent off in their last match against Al Wakrah, while Al Sadd will miss young midfielder Mustafa Tariq due to injury.
