Al Ahli coach Igor Biscan spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 13 match against Al Gharafa.

“Facing Al Gharafa will not be easy given their level as a strong and distinguished team and that they were able to present great levels in the past rounds and advance steadily towards the top four, which requires us to do our best on the field in order to come out with the desired result.

“I have full confidence in the ability of our players to continue our good performance and achieve the desired result. All team players know the value of the match and the importance of the team continuing on the path of victories this season.

“As a coach, I worked to make Al Ahli more prepared, especially since the match will not be easy and I am certain that our players will make every effort to achieve a positive result. Good performance leads to a good result on the field.

“Al Ahli’s great development this season is due to the work done by the club management, technical staff and players. We focus in the club only on work and there is nothing but work. Since I came to Doha to guide Al Ahli, I found full co-operation in the club and a distinctive atmosphere that helps in working and achieving success,” said Biscan.

Al Ahli forward Oumar Sekou said, “I have complete satisfaction with what the team is offering this season. We are approaching an important match and it is necessary for us to provide the best physical and technical performance in it to ensure the continuation of positive results in the competition.

“The match will not be easy and we know the strength of Al Gharafa and their distinguished players, but we will make every effort to come out with the desired result.

“Players always remains to provide the best level in all matches and make an effort to satisfy the club’s fans and come out with points. The team includes a distinguished group of players who are all keen to co-operate with each other in order to win, which increases enthusiasm in matches under the technical staff led by coach Igor Biscan.

“I am considering extending my contract with Al Ahli for several years to come, especially since I find all co-operation from my team-mates and all guidance from the technical staff.”
