Al Shamal and Al Wakrah will face off in Round 5, Group B of the 2024-2025 season QSL Cup at the Al Khor Stadium on Monday, November 11, 2024. The kick-off is at 5.30pm.

Both teams enter the match seeking to win, especially Al Shamal who are eager to add the valuable three points to their tally and improve their position in the standings currently being in third place with five points.

Group leaders Al Wakrah have nine points and will look to strengthen their commanding position with a victory. Al Wakrah and Al Shamal in addition to Umm Salal have already secured qualification to the quarterfinals.

The top four teams from each of the two groups qualify for the last eight stage. Al Wakrah, Umm Salal and Al Shamal have secured promotion to the next round, while the battle for the fourth spot from this group is between Al Khor and Al Gharafa. The fifth round will decide which of these two teams will make the grade.

Meanwhile, coaches of both Al Wakrah and Al Shamal will work towards gaining advantage from the contest by giving opportunities to more players while working at ironing flaws that may have appeared during the last stage in the league championship.
