Al Gharafa concluded their friendly matches during their overseas camp in Slovakia with a 1-1 draw against Cyprus team Apollon Limassol. The match was a part of The Cheetahs’ preparations ahead of the new season, especially 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League.

Al Gharafa club’s website report mentioned that both teams battled hard in the opening half before the Cyprus side took the lead through penalty.

Al Gharafa bounced back in the second session, regaining composure and holding possession for most part of the half, and scoring the equalizer.

Al Gharafa played a number of friendly matches during their conditioning camp as part of the training programme set by the team’s technical staff, led by coach Pedro Martins, before returning to Doha for the final preparations.

Al Gharafa will play their first match of the 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League on Friday, August 9, 2024, against Al Khor at Al Bayt Stadium (8.30pm kick-off).
