Al Rayyan concluded their overseas training camp in the Netherlands with a 3-2 win over Al Wasl of the UAE on Sunday, July 28, 2024. It was the fifth friendly played by Al Rayyan as part of preparations ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Al Wasl led 2-0 in the first half before Al Rayyan turned the tables by scoring through Roger Guedes, Thiago Mendes and Rodrigo Tabata.

Al Rayyan had previously played four matches. They beat Dutch team FC Eindhoven 1-0, lost to another Dutch side Utrecht 1-4, lost the third to Al Qadsiah of Saudi Arabia 0-2 and also to Venlo of the Netherlands 1-3.

The team is scheduled to return to Doha on Monday and will continue preparations ahead of the launch of Ooredoo Stars League, where they will play Umm Salal in the first round on August 9.
