Al Sadd coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 21 match against Al Shamal.

“The match is important for the team, the players and the club, and in the end it is three points that we aspire to win.

“There is no pressure on us as a team. We play the Al Shamal match like any other match. I am happy with the players’ reaction in the last match and I expect the best from them against Al Shamal.

“Al Sadd fans have a big role with us and they are the team’s first support, and our goal is to win and get the three points to officially win the league championship title,” said Wesam.

Al Sadd defender Ahmed Suhail said, “A difficult match awaits us and we will enter it with all seriousness in order to achieve victory, especially since the victory will officially decide the league championship for us.

“We will give our best to achieve this. I played the previous match in the right back position and this is not the first time I have played in this position. I always work to live up to the expectations of the coach and the team.

“We urge our fans to be present strongly in the Al Shamal match and celebrate the league championship title.”
