Al Sadd coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 16 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are waiting for an important match against Al Gharafa. We are preparing well for this big game. We will play against a team that has high-level players and we are ready for this match, which is considered very competitive.

“We look forward to maintaining the lead in every match. All games are like cup finals in which there is no alternative than winning. We strive to give our best and get the three points.

“We played an excellent match and beat Qatar SC by a 3-0 margin. Al Sadd players have a great deal of responsibility and we have every confidence in them, and our goal is to continue in the same way against Al Gharafa, and I hope that we will perform at the same level.

“We are waiting for our fans, our number one supporters. We hope for their presence at the stadium in order to achieve victory over a strong competitor,” said Wesam.

Al Sadd player Amin Hazbavi said, “All players realize the importance and strength of the match against Al Gharafa. We are preparing well for this game to continue on the winning path and stay in the lead.

“Al Gharafa are a strong team and we enter the match with great focus. It is another challenge for us and we are capable of achieving victory and collecting three points.”
