Al Sadd will play host to Umm Salal in the concluding match in Week 12 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club. The kick-off is at 7.30pm.

Al Sadd will go into the match at the top of the league standings with 28 points from nine wins, a draw and their only loss which came against Al Arabi in the postponed match from Week 6.

On the other hand, Umm Salal will face a great challenge in order to provide their best to achieve a positive result.

Umm Salal are placed seventh with 15 points, from four wins, as many defeats and three draws.

The first clash in the league between these teams had ended in favour of Al Sadd, which they won 3-1.

The Wolves will seek to bounce back with a win against Umm Salal while, at the same time, The Orange Fortress will be keen to come up with their best to gain a positive result and continue competing for the advanced positions.

Al Sadd’s Qatari coach Wesam Rizk will seek to correct the mistakes from the last game against Al Arabi and push his players to get the winning habit back once again. They rely on many of their top stars including Akram Afif, Baghdad Bounedjah, Matheus Uribe and Hassan Al Haydous among others.

Umm Salal will be a difficult and fierce competitor, given the readiness of most of the team’s members led by Oussama Tannane and Andy Delort. They are looking forward to providing a distinguished level, given the stability the side has gained under French coach Patrice Carteron.
