Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 10 match against Al Wakrah.

“We also know that Al Sadd have two postponed matches, but the most important thing is that we deal with each match separately and that we do our work and achieve victories, which is what is required.

“Regarding the absences in the team, this week we will have Yacine Brahimi back and he can play, and Al Janahi has fully recovered from his injury, and therefore we have more solutions. The team is working in the same spirit and very well, especially in the last two training sessions, the level was high and we are ready to face Al Wakrah.

“Al Wakrah have a very good coach and they have big names, and for me it is one of the most competitive teams, so it will be a difficult match.

“I invite the loyal Al Gharafa fans to come and support the players and enjoy the match. We promise to provide good matches and the most important thing is definitely winning,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Abdullah Al Sai said, “The preparations for the Al Wakrah match were normal, with the same spirit and enthusiasm. We, players, are ready and we know that it is an organized team and we are required to focus on ourselves.

“Regarding absences in the Al Wakrah ranks, I would say Al Wakrah are a organized team and are not affected by the absence of any player.

“Certainly the fan support is a great motivation and support for us in the matches, and all thanks to our fans for their continuous support.”
