Al Rayyan face Al Duhail in Round 5 (Group B) of the 2023-2024 season Ooredoo Cup at the Grand Hamad Stadium of Al Arabi club on Sunday, November 19, 2023. The kick-off is at 7.30pm.

Al Markhiya, Al Gharafa and Al Shamal are the other teams in the group.

Al Rayyan are third in the group table with six points from two wins and a loss, while Al Duhail are in the lead with nine points from three wins.

Al Rayyan rely on a number of prominent names, be they foreign or Qatari professionals, and coach Leonardo Jardim may try to give opportunity to many youngsters in order to strengthen the team’s ranks ahead of the resumption of league championship.

Al Duhail, under French coach Christophe Galtier, are doing well in the Ooredoo Cup and will be strong competitors for Al Rayyan.

Al Duhail beat Al Markhiya 1-0 and Al Rayyan defeated Al Shamal 2-0 in Round 4 of the Ooredoo Cup.

Both teams faced off in Week 8 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League, with Al Duhail beating Al Rayyan 3-2.
