Al Shamal coach Poya Asbaghi spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 8 match against Al Ahli.

“We are seeking to achieve a positive result in the next match and obtain three points, especially since we are coming from a loss in the last round.

“We gave a good performance in the previous match against Al Duhail, which is what we seek to do in the next match, but we have to translate this good performance into a good result in the Al Ahli match.

“The match will not be easy at all. Al Ahli are one of the good teams and are coming from a victory over a big team (Al Arabi) in the last round.

“I have confidence in my players’ ability to get back on the right path and achieve good results,” said Asbaghi.

Al Shamal player Zaid Aboulros said, “A very important match awaits us and we seek to win it and obtain three points to compensate for the recent results.

“We performed well in most of the matches in the league and all we need is to achieve victory and translate the performance into positive results.”
