Al Ahli and Al Shamal teams are set for a strong confrontation in Week 8 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Al Thumama Stadium. The kick-off is at 5.30pm.

The circumstances of the two teams differed before this match. Al Ahli team achieved an exciting victory in the last round with three goals to two over Al Arabi, advancing into the ninth place with six points from two wins and five defeats, same points as Al Arabi who are in the eighth position with a better goal difference.

As for Al Shamal, who lost 1-2 to Al Duhail last week, they have three points from three draws and four defeats, and the team have not recorded any victory so far.

Al Ahli are looking forward to continuing to provide the best with their new Portuguese coach Pedro Miguel especially after the brilliance of most of the team’s members in recent matches, including Tunisian Naim Sliti, along with young striker Omar Sekou, Jordanian Yazan Al Naimat and other players.

Al Shamal are in dire need of a victory this season to improve their standing, despite their decent performance thus far. However, their current position in the league, tied with Al Markhiya at 11th place with only three points, does not reflect their efforts. Therefore, the upcoming confrontation holds significant importance for them.

Al Shamal rely on their striker Ricardo Gomes, who has scored five goals so far, along with Majed Mohammed, defender Matias Nani and other players.
