Umm Salal will meet Qatar SC in Week 3 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Al Bayt Stadium on Friday, September 1, 2023. The kick-off is at 8.15pm.

Both teams go into the clash hunting for their first win of the new season after contrasting results in their first two rounds. While Umm Salal bounced back after their 1-3 loss to Al Sadd in the first week with a 1-1 draw against Al Arabi, Qatar SC, after their thrilling 4-4 draw against Al Gharafa, lost 0-1 to Al Rayyan in Week 2.

Umm Salal are currently ranked ninth in the standings with one point, while Qatar SC also have one point, but are placed eighth.

The match is therefore an opportunity for each of these sides to renew their hopes. Both Umm Salal and Qatar SC are looking forward to the much-needed first win.

Umm Salal’s French coach Patrice Carteron will look to push his team and correct the mistakes made during the meeting with Al Arabi after his team led by a goal until the 99th minute of the match.

Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri will be relying on his players Bashar Resan, Badr Benoun, Javier Martinez, Ben Malango and Bruno Tabata to deliver a positive result.
