Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Markhiya.
“We are ready to face Al Markhiya, who have been putting up good performances of late, especially in their last match against Al Duhail, and our goal is to achieve the third successive victory in the league.
“The recent victory over Al Shamal was difficult. In the second leg, all matches will be difficult due to all teams searching for the three points and all games will be decisive for all teams, be it at the top or bottom of the competition.
“Al Markhiya have stability on the technical staff front from last season, it gives the team an additional advantage and more harmony, but our team is ready for the match and we seek three points. I expect the players to react strongly and achieve victory.
“Regarding absences, I would say that the ranks are complete and the return of Abdullah Al Sulaiti will give the team more defensive solutions,” said Younes.
Al Arabi player Jassem Jaber said, “The team is well prepared, our morale is high and we are ready to get the three points.
“Al Markhiya are a tricky team and the game will not be easy. We must adhere to the coach’s instructions to get a positive result from the match.
“The team is now going through a good time and we are presenting good levels. Everyone knows that Al Arabi have become a difficult team and facing it will not be easy. This makes us more responsible.”
