Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League postponed match from Week 10 against Qatar SC.
“The match will not be easy due to the good level of Qatar SC and their results in the league. They are a distinguished team and we must prepare our team to provide the best technical level to resist them.
“We are looking forward to continue the good performance and achieve positive results in the league especially after the unsatisfactory exit from the Amir Cup, which is considered as the most prestigious tournament. We seek to move forward to achieve the best positions in the league. Facing Qatar SC has its own importance. Both Al Ahli and Qatar SC have exited the Amir Cup and our focus will be on the league, so the match will be very strong.
“I have worked to improve performance in all departments of the team, especially in attack, to reach a high degree of decisiveness against Qatar SC. I am not worried about wasting opportunities in front of the goal. I would be more concerned if the team did not create opportunities to score. The more the opportunities, the more the chances to score,” said Nebojsa.
Al Ahli player Saleh Al Yazidi said, “Qatar SC are one of the strong teams in the league and compete keenly to be in the top four, which makes the match difficult. But we have prepared ourselves to present the best level especially after our unsatisfactory exit from the Amir Cup.
“The loss to Muaither was painful for us and we are seeking a satisfactory performance for our fans. We will make every effort to win the match.
“Playing Qatar SC will not be easy and we must be at the highest levels of concentration against them.”
