Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League postponed match from Week 10 against Al Ahli.
“First, I must refer to our match against Al Gharafa, which we lost in the Amir Cup Round of 16. Its result was harsh on us and it was a disappointment for us. We were hoping to continue the journey in the championship, which represents a dream for everyone, and I apologize for that result and performance.
“We now need to react in our match against Al Ahli and I always have confidence in the players and their ability to provide the level and result required. We have to correct the mistakes that occurred and strive seriously and with great desire to achieve a positive result, especially since everyone in the team is aware of the importance of the next match and its points, which are part of our efforts to maintain our place in advanced positions in the table.
“It is very important now that we arm ourselves with focus and return properly, and I am optimistic, The players are worthy of responsibility and the system, and we have the ability to represent the club in the best way. We seek to satisfy our fans by obtaining the desired results,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Issa Ahmed said, “There is no doubt that we suffered a severe loss from which we should learn a lot. We, the players, have decided to compensate for it especially since we are still competing for advanced positions.
“I urge our loyal fans to stand with us and I hope they will be present on the field because they are our true support.
“Every team goes through various circumstances and our team has presented outstanding results and levels. When we play with full ranks, we achieve positive performance and results.”
