Al Shamal assistant coach Talal Al Balooshi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Gharafa.

“First of all, we wish a fast recovery for our coach Wesam Rizik, so he can guide the team at the stadium against Al Gharafa.

“There is no doubt that facing Al Gharafa will not be easy in view of their strengths. They have players at a high level, but this will not prevent our strong desire to correct our path.

“Al Shamal played a good match against Al Arabi, but were not successful in scoring goals. The technical staff under Wesam worked in recent days to raise the morale of the players in order to provide a distinguished performance in the upcoming matches, starting from the Al Gharafa game.

“Our squad will be complete against Al Gharafa after the return of Ali Alwan, who will strengthen our offensive line. We must get rid of the mistakes we make in order to achieve the required result,” said Talal.

Al Shamal player Fahad Waad said, “A difficult match against Al Gharafa, who have high-level players. They are a great team with high potential, but at the same time we will play this match in order to win and collect the three points and compensate for the negative results of the team in the past rounds.

“The technical staff under coach Wesam prepared the team well during the last days in order to come out in the best way and achieve the best possible result that would help the team get out of the difficult situation.”
