The Qatar Stars League (QSL) held Technical Meeting for the Qatar Cup 2024 semifinals on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at its headquarters in Al Bidda Tower in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competitions Department at QSL, Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Sayed, Head of Football Operations at QSL, Mr. Jassim Al Hail, representative of Referees Department of Qatar Football Association, and representatives of competing clubs Al Sadd, Al Rayyan, Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah.

Mr. Al Adsani welcomed all attendees and congratulated the clubs playing in the Qatar Cup, The Glorious Cup, stressing that preparations were continuing through co-ordination with the clubs and all parties concerned in order to bring out the tournament’s 2024 edition in a distinguished manner. He also wished success to the teams.

A number of matters were discussed, most notably:

- Reviewing tournament guidelines and procedures and match day operations.

- Approval of official kits for each team during matches (main and reserve).

- Emphasizing that in the event of tie in regular time, penalty shoot-out will be straightaway resorted to without extra time.

It may be noted that the semifinals will be played on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Al Sadd will play against Al Wakrah at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium (kick-off 5.15pm) and Al Rayyan will play against Al Gharafa at the Khalifa International Stadium (kick-off 8pm).
