Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Sailiya.
“I thank all players for their efforts, reaction and technical level against Al Wakrah especially since we played against a large and organized team. But the will and determination were the hallmarks of our team and I am satisfied with the result and performance in a match our team deserved to win.
“Every match is special and different. Al Sailiya are coming from a victory and a draw in the last two rounds and the team is led by a coach for whom I have great respect.
“Our players have a high degree of focus and know the importance of continuing the hard work. There is no doubt that the absence of Sebastian Soria will be crucial as he is a great player who offers a lot to the team and all players respect him and co-operate with him.
“Our new player Nabil Bahoui has distinguished characteristics and it was a necessary move after (Ben) Malango’s injury and he was one of the players in our list. We have optimism that he will be the required addition to us and the group In general. He is adapting well although he needs more time,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Omar Al Emadi said, “Our team this season is characterized by an ideal atmosphere at the level of teamwork and is making all possible efforts to be at the best level. There is no doubt that this season is one of the best that I have spent in the club in seven seasons.
“We look forward to more positive results through hard work, strength, enthusiasm and co-operation.
“I thank the loyal Qatar SC fans for their constant support to the team. They supported us a lot even though they were not satisfied with the outcome of our match against Al Markhiya. But we bounced back against Al Wakrah and I hope they will always attend our games.”
