Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Rayyan.

“Al Rayyan’s ranking in the league does not mean that it is an easy team and it is a strong and very distinguished team. They have a coach who deserves all respect and appreciation. Al Rayyan remain strong and have great capabilities, and they must be dealt with great focus.

“We are looking forward to achieving victory and returning to the path of victories after losing to Al Duhail in the last round, where the team performed well and was the best. But we did not succeed in getting points from the field, but we are satisfied with the performance of the players and their level in the match. We are preparing the team to face Al Rayyan in the best way in order to get the three points.

“We will make every effort in the Al Rayyan match in order to achieve a positive result and I am fully confident in the capabilities of our players to provide a distinguished performance.

“Only two points separate us from the top four, but what matters is that we continue to improve our performance in the remaining matches of the league,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli player Abubakr Bayoumi said, “I have great confidence that we will return to the path of victories after our recent loss against Al Duhail and achieve good results in the upcoming league matches.

“We have been presenting distinguished levels for some time and this is due to the great work done by all players, the club’s management and the technical staff, so that Al Ahli are in the best position.
