Al Sadd coach Juanma spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Wakrah.

“The next match against Al Wakrah will be difficult because they are an organized team with good players. As we say before every match, we know that each team has unique strengths, which makes every match difficult.

“We know that we are in a difficult situation because our chances of winning the title do not depend only on us, because of our previous results before the World Cup, followed by defeat against Al Ahli and a draw against Al Duhail.

“We are committed to doing our best in every match to get the three points, our goal is not only to win, but to achieve it through good play,” said Juanma.

Al Sadd player Guilherme Torres said, “It will be a very difficult match against a good and organized team. We are working hard this week so that we can get a good result from this match and prepare for the 2023 Qatar Cup final, which is a very important game and we need to show our ability.

“The season is coming to an end and unfortunately we had some negative results, and despite that we will strive to end the season on a positive note by winning as many matches as possible.

“We have a clear goal and a strong group of players who will work hard to achieve it. I am confident that we will do our best and overcome the current situation that we are going through.”
