Hernan Crespo of Al Duhail has been named as the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League’s Best Coach for the month of January, 2023, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the Qatar Stars League.

Under Crespo, Al Duhail played four matches (Weeks 8, 9, 11 and 12) and won all of them, netting a maximum 12 points. And The Red Knights cruised to the top of QNB Stars League table with 29 points currently, displacing Al Arabi to the second place with 25 points.

It was a great comeback into the tournament by Al Duhail under the tutelage of former Argentinian international striker Crespo after the long break in the league.

Al Duhail beat Al Gharafa 3-0, Umm Salal 3-1, Al Shamal 2-0 and Al Wakrah 1-0 in that order during January.

During the period, Al Duhail scored nine goals and conceded only one.

Crespo, who was a player of great repute, took over the coaching reins of Al Duhail at the start of this season.
