Muaither coach Jorge Da Silva spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League match against Al Duhail, postponed from Week 13.
“We consider all matches remaining for us in the league championship to be final matches and there is no room for giving up points because we play in crucial times and everyone is looking for points and victories, so we are currently at the top of our focus and we are working nonstop to achieve our goal, which is to remain in the league. The Al Duhail match is a great challenge for us and will be very difficult, as they are a team that have a good coach and distinguished players, but there is no choice but to do everything we have to achieve victory, which will serve as a great motivation for us in the remaining two matches of the league.
“In recent days, we have worked to intensify training and prepare well for the match, and I spoke with the players to forget the loss in the last match against Al Rayyan and think about the next, because we still have several opportunities to compensate in the next three matches, and we also worked to address all mistakes until we emerge in a positive way that satisfies us all in the club system,” said Da Silva.
Muaither goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodriguez said, "Al Duhail match is difficult for both sides, but we are ready for it and aspire to score three points. We are currently playing in important stages of the league and there is no alternative to achieving victories to remain in the first division league, and this is currently our primary goal. We are working with the technical staff to continue training, and we are at the top of our focus. We have good players on the team and we have great confidence in ourselves to provide a good performance against Al Duhail and come out in a positive way.”
