Al Wakrah are fifth in the standings with 24 points, while Al Ahli have slipped to seventh with 21 points. Both teams are eager to log more points and soar up the rankings in the league championship.

The Blue Wave had a 1-1 draw in their last game against Al Rayyan, while Al Ahli are smarting from a 1-3 defeat to Qatar SC in their postponed matches from Week 10.

Given the scenario, the match is expected to be fiercely contested with either side eagerly looking for a place in the top four. There has been a strong battle by Qatar SC, Al Wakrah, Al Gharafa and Al Ahli in the recent weeks to claim a place in the top four of the rankings.
