The Al Wakrah Club have announced an official contract with Abdelkarim Hassan, a former Al Sadd player and Qatar national team player, to strengthen the team’s ranks in the new season 2024-2025, with a contract for 3 seasons extending until 2027, while coming from the Iranian club Persepolis.

The club on its official website revealed that the player signed a contract to join the team at the club’s headquarters in the presence of club’s Vice President Salman Abdulghani, and in preparation for his travel to Spain to join the team’s currently in overseas training camp in Malaga. 

Abdelkarim Hassan joined the Iranian team Persepolis last January, coming from Al Jahra of Kuwait.
The player expressed his happiness on joining Al Wakrah Club, stressing he greatly desires to give off his best and help the team achieve its goals.

He stressed that he seeks to do his best to meet the expectations of the club’s fans and the technical administration.
For his part, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al Thani, President of Al Wakrah Club, extended his sincere thanks to Al Sadd Club management for its great cooperation in the transfer of Abdelkarim Hassan to Al Wakrah Club.
The President of Al Wakrah Club said: “Thanks also go to all the officials of the Iranian Persepolis Club for their understanding of Al Wakrah Club’s great desire to include Abdulkarim Hassan and their great response to us during the negotiation period.”
The Al Wakrah Club president continued: “The Al Wakrah team that took on the task of completing this deal played a starring role in including this great player in the ranks of our club, and all members of this team made great efforts with all parties before agreeing on all the details of the contract and officially settling the deal.”

Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan concluded: “There is no doubt that Abdelkarim Hassan will constitute a tremendous addition to the first football team of Al Wakrah Club in the new season given his wonderful technical and physical abilities, in addition to his huge experience, whether of playing in Qatari or Asian stadiums. We wish him all success in helping the team achieve the desired results in the local competitions and at the Asian level.
