Al Shamal Club have announced the completion of a contract with Algerian Baghdad Bounedjah, a former Al Sadd player, in an effort to enhance the team's roster.
The club's president, Ibrahim Al-Sada, revealed that Bounedjah will don the Al Shamal colors starting from the upcoming 2024-2025 season, for a duration of two seasons, with a potential extension for a third season.
Al Shamal secured the ninth spot in the overall standings of the Expo Stars League clubs in the previous season, accumulating 25 points.
Bounedjah enjoyed a remarkable football career with Al Sadd spanning nine years, during which he engaged in 231 matches, netted 202 goals, and provided 60 assists since his arrival from Etoile Sahili.
He also clinched the league title four times and the Emir’s Cup thrice. Apart from the Bounedjah acquisition, Al Shamal Club have also successfully acquired the services of Sohaib Janan from Al Duhail and Sid Al-Doukkali from Al Ahly.
