Al-Sadd have announced the signing of Algerian defender Abdessamed Bounacer to strengthen the team in the new season 2024-2025, with a contract extending for five seasons.
Bounacer joins from the Algerian team USM Alger.
Yesterday, Al Sadd announced the appointment of Spaniard Felix Sanchez as coach of the team, succeeding national coach Wissam Rizk to lead the league champions next season.
The transfer of Bounacer, who is 19 years old, represents an important step in his football career, as he is considered one of the most prominent talents in Algeria and Africa.
He caught the attention last season by participating with the capital team in 35 matches in the Algerian League and Cup and the African Confederation Championships, during which he succeeded in scoring one goal and assisting another. .
The player was linked to a contract with his club, USM Alger, until the summer of 2027, but Al Sadd succeeded in winning his signature to be a strong addition to Al Sadd’s defence line.
The young defender previously played for the Algerian national team under 18 and under 23 years of age.
Bounacer will succeed his Algerian compatriot, Baghdad Bounedjah, with Al Sadd, after he left to join the ranks of the Al Shamal team for next season, following a busy career during which he achieved many achievements and championships.
