Al Duhail and Al Shamal will meet in Week 18 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium of Al Duhail club on Friday, March 15, 2024. The kick-off is at 9.30pm.

The match represents great importance for both teams in view of their great closeness in the table.

Al Shamal occupy the ninth place with 18 points collected from winning four matches, drawing six and losing as many, while Al Duhail occupy the seventh place with 19 points, only one point ahead of Al Shamal. Al Duhail have so far recorded five wins, four draws and seven defeats.

Al Shamal, under coach Poya Asbhagi, are looking forward to score their third victory in a row after winning the last two rounds over Umm Salal and Al Markhiya. They have been putting up good performance after the long break in the league.

As for Al Duhail, under French coach Christophe Galtier, they are in a difficult situation with their continued negative results and successive losses, the last of which was a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Al Wakrah in Week 17.

Both teams rely on strong attack to score victory and the three points, which is their target from this game.
